MÄRVEL – Brain Drain Diaries

The Barons of Swedish High Energy Rock ’n’ Roll Open Up on Their Tenth Studio Album

After more than two decades behind the masks, MÄRVEL returns with Brain Drain Diaries — their most personal and revealing album to date. Known for their thunderous riffs, anthemic choruses, and larger-than-life presence, the band now turns the focus inward to explore the exhaustion, doubt, and determination that come with life, art, and the times we live in.

Brain Drain Diaries is about everyday struggles — about finding sparks of energy when everything feels drained, about standing tall through hardship, and about coming out on the other side with new strength. It’s also a record about coping with the madness of the world — trying to keep your head above water when everything feels upside down.

Musically, the album delivers everything Märvel fans love: soaring hooks, driving guitars, and an unstoppable groove. But beneath the energy lies something raw and human — a sense of honesty and reflection that makes Brain Drain Diaries one of Märvel’s most heartfelt releases yet. From the defiant roar of “Take a Stand” and the gritty pulse of “Brain Drain” to the reflective weight of “Time Has a Way”, the album captures a band that’s still pushing forward — more alive than ever.

Formed in 2002 by three Swedish exchange students — The King, The Vicar, and Speedo — Märvel have spent over twenty years carving out their own corner of rock ’n’ roll. With nine acclaimed albums, and a loyal fanbase across Europe, the band has built a legacy of pure energy and infectious passion. Now, with Brain Drain Diaries, Märvel opens up a new chapter — one that’s not just about riffs and swagger, but about resilience, honesty, and heart.
